Nice Truffles!

My first few minutes at the Crown were not the most pleasant.The service from front desk was very slow and our luggage took over 2 hours to be brought up to our room.

On arrival to our room , it appeared it hadn't been cleaned properly a bottle of moisturiser lay in the middle of the room (presumably belonging to the previous guest) and the top of the mini bar had crumbs on it. After contacting the front desk , they sent house keeping in to inspect it. The housekeeper seemed to be quite irked by my complaint, she took the moisturiser didn't really say anything and left. Shortly after this we went out and upon our return we were greeted with a very expensive bottle of champagne and a box of truffles. Which was much appreciated.

Besides those few hiccups at the beginning , we did enjoy ourselves. It was very quiet, most of the staff were very friendly.And, the best part is the Crown Complex it is only a short distance from your room to some of the best restraunts in Melbourne (i.e Neil Pery's Rock Pool) and a great food hall with decidant cakes and absolutely amazing coffee.There is no eating place in the whole complex that I could fault.

However, on a whole a great place to stay(location wise) but I would have expected better service for a 5 star hotel.
