December 2009 - The worst hotel I've stayed at in Australia

I stay in different hotels every month when travelling for work. I stayed in room 508 at this hotel recently and had a terrible experience! I was bitten from head to toe during the night by bed bugs. There was no soap or shampoo supplied and the conditioner and moisturiser were half used! The iron had exposed wires and the food in the mini bar looked like it had been handled quite a lot by previous guests or cleaning staff. Not to mention the airconditioning unit, which sounded like a freight train going through the room every few minutes. The staff attitude topped it off the next morning when I calmly explained my disappointment - "What do you want me to do about it?". Management took 3 days to return my call re: the bed bugs and asked for empathy because their ammenties supplier had put their toiletries on backorder! I was told that a pest control report would be emailed to me and 4 days later I'm still waiting. Overall I was apalled by the standard of this hotel and would not recommend to anyone! DO NOT STAY HERE!
