Fawlty Towers! - Mornington Motel Mornington Review

Honestly, this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had in a motel, and we stay in a lot of them. We have been abused verbally and by email after booking on-line. The on-line form didn't have a spot for children, so we attached a note asking for a bed for our three year old. The owner phoned and said it was $20 more. We agreed and asked if our 7 month old (in our portacot) would also have to pay $20 and he said no, and that of course it was fine. But the next day when checking out, his daughter abused us for trying to "rort" the on-line booking system and sneak in the kids. My partner was shocked and very upset.
Today I've phoned and emailed trying to get across how offended and upset we were, only to be abused and accused of deception, dishonesty and stupidity for not being able to book the correct room in the first place. Apparently only one style of room is allowed to have children in it, but we were too stupid to read the website properly and it wasn't their fault that "Dad" was a "nice guy" and "let you stay anyway"! We were also told our port-a-cot was a fire risk and we shouldn't have had it in the room! Anyone who liked Fawlty Towers, might actually pay this place a visit. It's one out of the box.
